AUTOMATED PRINTING, SIMPLIFIED OPERATIONS

Cugher automates the main parameters of the industrial glass printing process, including glass dimensions and thickness, off-contact, peel-off, centring positions, printing speed and pressure. Dedicated recipes store the settings for each model, reducing manual adjustments and dependence on operator experience.

RAPID PRODUCTION CHANGEOVERS

Glass format changes can be completed in less than 5 minutes. By selecting one of up to 200 stored recipes, the machine automatically configures the required production parameters, reducing setup time and downtime between different glass models.

CONSISTENT AND REPEATABLE PRINT QUALITY

Automatic control of pressure, speed, off-contact, peel-off and glass positioning supports print repeatability of ±0.08 mm. The system also helps achieve high ink coverage and a uniform ink layer up to 20–30 µm across batches and shifts.

PRECISE CONTROL OF EVERY PRINTING PARAMETER

Printing and floodbar speeds are managed automatically, while squeegee and floodbar pressure are controlled through independent digital proportional valves. The machine also adjusts peel-off movement, centring-pin positions and closing sequences for asymmetrical glass.

LESS WASTE, OPTIMIZED INK CONSUMPTION

Stable and repeatable process settings help minimize glass rejects, optimize ink consumption and reduce screen-frame wear. Anti-drip, ink-recovery and add-ink support functions improve ink management and contribute to more efficient production across all working shifts.

SAFER AND MORE EFFICIENT MACHINE SETUP

The Teach Pendant allows the operator to create and adjust recipes while working close to the printing machine. This provides direct control during initial setup while keeping the operator outside hazardous areas and reducing movements to the main control panel.

FASTER SCREEN CLEANING AND RESTART

The screen can be manually extracted for cleaning without losing its registered position. Pneumatic and electromagnetic locking systems preserve alignment, eliminating the need to repeat registration and allowing printing to restart immediately after cleaning.

INTEGRATED CONTROL FROM PRINTING TO DRYING

The IR Dryer uses dedicated recipes to manage conveyor-belt speed, lamp power independently for each module and configurable energy-saving settings. This extends automatic process control from the printing phase through to drying.

CUSTOM LAYOUTS FOR OPTIMIZED PRODUCTION SPACE

Each Cugher line layout is designed according to the customer’s available space, production flow and integration requirements. Compact and customized configurations can save up to 11 metres compared with alternative production layouts.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTION CONTINUITY

Cugher provides telephone assistance and a dedicated ticketing system to support customers throughout the machine lifecycle. The help desk is available six days a week, from 7:00 to 24:00 European time.
